Replacing Suspension & Differential Parts

Your make and model of vehicle, as well as driving habits, will play a part in determining how often your suspension and diff componentry needs replacing. However, as a general rule of thumb, shock absorbers and springs should be replaced every 50,000km or five years—whichever comes first. For ball joints and control arms, it's typically recommended to replace every 80,000km or eight years. Differential components will usually last the lifetime of the vehicle, but if you're experiencing any problems it's always best to get them checked out.
